It's not about keeping Texas red it's about keeping Texas safe.
April Aguirre is a passionate advocate for justice and crime victims. April’s path has been shaped by service and family. She served in the U.S. Air Force and later worked as a nurse while raising five children with her husband, a Houston Police Officer.
Tragedy struck in 2022 when her nine-year-old niece, Arlene Alvarez, was fatally shot in a car. The shooter was bailed out within a day, prompting April to fight for change.
She has supported over two dozen victims' families with vigils, funeral funds, and guidance through court processes.
In January 2025, she was appointed to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct by Governor Abbott. April is deeply committed to supporting crime victims and advocating for local and legislative reforms to ensure justice for all citizens.
