Tom and Suzanne Pretti are visiting us from Amman, Jordan where they have lived and worked in charitable development and relief across the Middle East for the past five years. They work with refugees from multiple countries in the Middle East, including Syrians, Iraqis, Palestinians, and Sudanese. Prior to their move to the Middle East, Tom and Suzanne lived in the Houston area for nearly 15 years.
Tom is a CPA who worked in business consulting and mid-stream oil & gas until 2017. Following Hurricane Harvey, he was asked to initiate and lead a charity in the West Houston/Katy Area to restore families/homes affected by the storm. Tom served on the board of the West Houston Leadership Institute for 8 years. Today, Tom directs funds and consults in economic development and relief projects around the Middle East, in addition to participating in leadership of two charities assisting their communities.
Suzanne has worked in various ministry roles most of her adult life, increasingly focused in discipleship and trauma support roles. She now leads trauma support groups for women and children as well as training up other leaders from the region in discipleship and trauma support roles.
Tom and Suzanne have 3 boys aged 16, 13, and 10 who love to play baseball in their spare time. They all love living in Jordan, but still consider Texas their home away from home.
